FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT:
UTC Spectrum Services is Moving Washington, D.C. - Utilities Telecom Council (UTC) is excited to announce that UTC Spectrum Services, our frequency coordination and related services department, is moving back to UTC's offices in Washington, D.C effective February 1, 2008. UTC Spectrum Services is the premier provider of rapid, reliable, and creditable coordination and engineering services. UTC Spectrum Services moved from UTC to SiteSafe, Inc., an engineering and RF safety services provider, in 2001 to enable us to offer more engineering capabilities. However, as the coordination market has changed, and to enable UTC to offer new and enhanced spectrum management services, it became a strategic priority to move this department back into UTC's headquarters. The move also will allow an even higher level of customer service and commitment to UTC members and our many other coordination customers. "We are excited to have the UTC Spectrum Services staff in our offices again. While functioning as a part of SiteSafe, the team provided a high level of support to UTC's members. However, as UTC moves forward with new opportunities, it makes sense to have the team back with the rest of the UTC staff," said William R. Moroney, UTC President and CEO.
UTC is now offering energy and water utilities and their technology partners license management solutions for their spectrum holdings. To oversee this and other work, UTC hired Klaus Bender in November 2007 as its Director of Engineering. SiteSafe will continue to be an active UTC partner, offering engineering services to energy and water companies through UTC. For questions regarding UTC Spectrum Services, please contact spectrumservices@utc.org or call 202.872.0030.
